REMASTERED

So, to everyone: If you are not convinced of the possibility that a 'videogame' can be just as emotional and gripping - in storytelling as well as gameplay - as other media -> I recommend having a look at games like The Last Of Us, Gone Home, The Walking Dead, ... !

Now, since yesterday (US) and today (EU) was the release of The Last Of Us Remastered for the PlayStation 4 (original on PS3) I tried myself (once more) in sketching and these are the result:

The first pic is a simple and classic pen and paper sketch showing the main protagonists and a parody of the mushroom afflicted "enemies"...

Always these mushroom people!

And the following pic is a close up of one of those mentioned mushroom people created in the Tayasui Sketches app for iOS!

Tayasui Sketches

Hi everyone!

So there is this app called Tayasui Sketches for iOS. It was recently in the "Top free" list so I loaded it and started doodling random stuff...

Here are the results - some of them you can also find on my Instagram (@donturgol):

As you can see this is a screenshot of the UI... I couldn't find out how to export/save finished work as pic.

A little BIG Sackboy

A couple of years ago (in 2008) there was this competition by PlayStation Switzerland where you had to design a costume for Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet) and the following ones were my entries:

Well... there are lots of cows around here where I live

The first three are more or less self-explanatory. However, it is OK if don't get last one, since it is based on a fictional character by me. I might come back at "sagazoolo" at a later point.

Oh and "Sackboy as Sackboy" won first place! They actually produced several 1m (~3 feet) tall Sackboys wearing itself as an outfit and sent me one as prize!

Hunting Season

A super quick shot at the best female character in video games (so far):

If you don't know yet, Ellie (girl on drawing) is one of the main protagonists in 'The Last of Us' - a video game by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation3. This game and the recently released add-on 'Left Behind' are great examples of meaningful storytelling combined with thrilling gameplay! 'The Last of Us' is a significant step forward in interactive storytelling - so Be sure to check it out!
